Volunteering with Love INC

 

Christian service comes in many Forms but all of it follows the example of Christ who walked among us and served those in need. As we also serve those around us the love, grace, and mercy of God is revealed and that is where lives are transformed. Our desire is to see the Body of Christ released into our communities so that our communities may forever be changed.

 
 

Volunteering

THOUGHTS ON VOLUNTEERING

Love INC teaches a class called Redemptive Compassion. This is an 8 week class that offers a biblical perspective on how the Church is called to holistically help people in need. During this class there are 6 core principles that are looked at:

 
 

  1. We believe everyone has value.

  2. We invest relationally in others.

  3. We help everyone achieve their potential.

  4. We require mutual participation.

  5. We respond with wisdom and discernment.

  6. We serve in ways that transform.

 
 

These are core biblical principles that are key to loving and serving the community around us as we volunteer. I would say that our volunteers do well in walking them out. Over the next few months we’ll look more in depth at these principles and what they have to say to us.
