It Gets Lonely, Doesn't it?

Loneliness seems like a second epidemic during this time...

Cabin fever has been a constant friend (or enemy, depending on your personality) to many of us these days! Most are stuck at home, awaiting the next news briefing, hoping for some good news!

While we are waiting, it is so easy to forget the people we love when we don't see them on a weekly basis.

I know for myself, as a proud self-proclaimed introvert, I thought that some social distancing wouldn't be so bad for a little while.

Well, I was wrong about that!

I have found that I am craving social interaction more than ever before! Even Zoom video calls don't do the trick.

But maybe that's because God made us to live in person, in relationship with those around us.

"For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!" - Eccl 4:10

It's amazing how easy it is to take for granted having someone there to lift you up when you fall.

So while we await our social freedom, though we are not able to lift each other in person, maybe we could spend some time calling a friend, praying for our community, and anticipating the day that we can spend more time lifting each other up in-person.

We are praying for you during this time!
